NVCA is a local independent, grant-aided voluntary organisation that exists to support, encourage, defend, develop and promote voluntary and community action in the Nene Valley Area.

NVCA actively recruits potential volunteers from all sections of the community and places them with local organisations/groups who are seeking volunteers to help with their work.

NVCA aims to support volunteering organisations in the voluntary, community and not for profit sectors.

NVCA also provides a range of direct services to groups, and works with voluntary and community groups to support their activities through co-ordination, liaison, representation, advice and information.

The core function of NVCA is to promote a wide range of services to support front line service delivery by voluntary and community organisations, to give appropriate advice, advocacy, representation and volunteering services at a local level and to play a key role in co-ordination and support to the Nene Valley voluntary / community sector.

NVCA facilitates East Northants Voluntary and Community Sector forum and will be facilitating Wellingborough Voluntary and Community Sector Forum from April 2007.
